Scott was introduced to kettlebell training in July, 2009. After only a few months training with RKC II Josh Hillis, Scott's results were stunning and he was completely hooked.
Shortly after attaining his personal training certificate from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), Scott attended the prestigious Russian Kettlebell Challenge (RKC) Instructor Certification course in April, 2010 and branched out on his own, founding PowerHour Kettlebell Fitness.
Since then he has continued his education, opting to study human movement to help clients reduce pain, increase flexibility, mobility, and strength. In August, 2011, he earned the designation of R-Phase Certified Movement Re-education Specialist from Z-Health Performance. He is also currently a candidate for the I-Phase Integrative Movement Specialist certification, also from Z-Health. The survivor of two heart attacks before his 30th birthday, Scott is passionate about helping others avoid similar trials and tribulations. In the future, Scott plans to obtain further education and certification in the fields of paleolithic/holistic nutrition and functional movement specialties.
Scott holds dual bachelors degrees in marketing and Spanish from Eastern Michigan University. Professionally, he is a marketing and public relations writer, serving major multinational technology corporations. He is 32 years old and originally from Cincinnati, OH.
